Halloween 2011

Click the title of this blog to witness what meth can do to you on Halloween. I hope everyone had a safe and fun Halloween. For the first time my mother-in-law cancelled Halloween at her house. At 84, I think she just tired of staying up late handing out candy to the little ones and the not-so-little ones. It’s OK though…she has paid her dues. You rest, Mum, you have earned it.

Meanwhile at our house the tradition lives on! “You’re a little old to be trick or treating wouldn’t you say?” “Not half as old as you mister,” was the reply I receive from the kid next to me. Move over runt – I was here first! I say we are never too old to go trick or treating….

Halloween Truths

You know you are too old to Trick or Treat when:

    10. You get winded from knocking on the door.

    9. You have to have another kid chew the candy for you.

    8. You ask for high fiber candy only.

    7. When someone drops a candy bar in your bag,
you lose your balance and fall over.

    6. People say: "Great Boris Karloff Mask,"
And you're not wearing a mask.

    5. When the door opens you yell, "Trick or..." And can't remember the rest.

    4. By the end of the night,
you have a bag full of restraining orders.

    3. You have to carefully choose a costume that won't dislodge your hairpiece.

    2. You're the only Power Ranger in the neighborhood with a walker.
And the number one reason Seniors should not go
    Trick Or Treating...

    1. You keep having to go home to pee.

A Reader's Delight

If you like exciting storytelling and excellent fiction writing, you need to read works by Candace Bowser . This new author has taken my writing world by storm.

Yes, she is beautiful and so is her writing. I may be a softy when it comes to a pretty face, but my real weakness is finding an author who writes with passion and purpose and is able to put the reader into their haunting scenes.

Her Website is rich in color and substance, giving some insight into her writing before you open any pages of her novels.

In a book world of uncertainly and second-rate authors, you can be sure that Candace will overwhelm you with bigger than life characters and story line.

    Go for it and enjoy!
