"I will fight no more forever."

    Chief Joseph

You might ask why the Mittster is going off on a tirade about Indian treaties and wars. Actually I am not; the tirade is going to be about our Republican Party and how the whole sorted mess makes me think that I am not going to fight about who should be running against President Obama no more forever. In fact, I want to go live on a reservation somewhere that is lacking in electricity, radio, television or any manner of communications.

President Obama is watching this fiasco with a grin ear to ear while counting the money he will not have to spend getting reelected. The Republican Party has already reelected the current President hands down. It’s just a matter of the Democrats waiting out the rest of the Republican Party comedy act until the November general elections.

I hate writing blogs about politics, but how can I not say something about the cartoon characters debating each other on national television while each and every time proving we don’t have anyone worth electing to the town council of Po Dunk, Idaho, let alone to the Presidency of the United States of America.

    President Barack Obama

While I have been a lifetime Republican, I cannot help but marvel at the professionalism of President Barack Obama. Everything he does and says speaks presidential. I may not like his politics, but I like the man. Let’s face it, he projects the kind of professionalism needed to gain the respect of world leaders who look to us for leadership. For those leaders who do not look to us for anything but grief, Donald Trump could be president and they wouldn’t care. Speaking of "The Donald," I truly think he is a worthy Republican opponent compared to the current field of want-to-be presidents. If you are going to act cartoonish, at least look the part.

    Donald Trump

Just for giggles (because I don’t want to cry), I here and now throw in Clint Eastwood’s name as a write-in Republican candidate.

    Clint Eastwood

He looks presidential, has some political experience, and is tough as nails. If I could do just half of what he accomplishes daily at his age, I would be more than satisfied. One thing is for sure, if any of the other candidates give him any crap at the next debate, he would look down at them and say, “Make my day!” Glory be – that would be a sight to behold.

Our Founding Fathers

Our founding fathers are finally turning over in their graves while saying to Capitol Hill, “Kiss our boney asses, you traitors!” There, I have said it and trust me, I mean it. What more can our Congressmen and Representatives say or do that could convey a stronger message to the world that America is a second rate country and in decline?

I am ashamed of our political leaders to say the least. Our government leaders are greedy, career politicians with only one thing on their minds. How can we continue the status quo of special benefits for our members while not having to follow the same rule of law that is applied to the very people who elected us into office?

Unfortunately, all the governments of the world suffer the same corruption we see in our country. Corruption it is, no matter what kind of smoke and mirrors they are flashing us at any given time in history. All the huffing and puffing over issues that are really not that complicated, but are made to seem so for the benefit of the general public, could be resolved easily. The real game being played is posturing for the next elections at the expense, as usual, of the American people.

I for one have a plan concerning the presidential elections in 2012. There are now more political parties that ever in history represented on the ballot. No more crying and sniveling about our leaders on my part. I am voting against the Republicans and Democrats. I’m not sure which party I will go with, but you can set your watch that I won’t be voting as usual. If every American would stand up and be counted concerning the fiasco on Capitol Hill and finally vote the bastards out of office for ever, at least the message would be sent loud and clear, enough is enough!

If we say to ourselves that there is nothing we can do about the state of our political system in America, then there will nothing we can do. But, if “We the People” stand united against career politicians who wipe their feet on us daily, there damn sure is something that can be done. We can clean house on Capitol Hill and sweep the ugly politicians to the curb!

My name is Mitt Winstead and I’m really pissed off!

We The People

The time has come for all Americans to act concerning The Congress of the United States of America. We the People will not and cannot tolerate the blatant abuses of power by our government motivated by greed and self-serving interests.

It is time for all of us to stand and be counted!

The 26th amendment (granting the right to vote for 18 year-olds) took only 3 months & 8 days to be ratified! Why? Simple! The people demanded it. That was in 1971...before computers, before e-mail, before cell phones, etc.

Of the 27 amendments to the Constitution, seven (7) took 1 year or less to become the law of the land...all because of public pressure.

I'm asking each reader to forward this blog to a minimum of twenty people on their address list; in turn ask each of those to do likewise.

In three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message. This is one idea that really should be passed around.

    Congressional Reform Act of 2011

    1. No Tenure / No Pension.
A Congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.

    2. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security. All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system and Congress participates with the American people. It may not be used for any other purpose.

    3. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.

    4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

    5. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.

    6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.

    7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen are void effective 1/1/12. The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen. Congressmen made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and back to work.

If each person contacts a minimum of twenty people then it will only take three days for most people (in the U.S.) to receive the message. It is time to act.
THIS IS HOW YOU FIX CONGRESS!!!!!

Biker Babe Palin

Did I see Sarah Palin riding bitch with another woman on a Harley? I am sure I did and the question is why? Can’t she ride her own bike and if not, why not have a guy driving the bagger? It would certainly have made a better impression on me had she been handling her own big bike. If she wants to run the country, she should be able to ride a Harley on her own. Oh, wait a minute – I don’t think any president has ever ridden a Harley by their lonesome. I did Google the question and came up with zilch. As far as I can find out, no president of the U.S.A. has ever ridden a Harley-Davidson.

Here is the challenge; show me one presidential candidate riding (alone) on a bagger Harley and they have my vote. Lord knows we don’t need another politician as president; let’s try a biker for once. At lest we will know that they can handle something big and bad. In fact, I will vote for Palin if she can straddle a Road King and ride it hard!

The Truth

    "Let's be clear on this:

OBAMA did NOT kill Bin Laden.

An American sailor, who Obama just a few weeks ago was debating on whether or not to PAY, did. In fact, if you remember a little less than two years ago, his administration actually charged and attempted to court marshal 3 Navy Seals from Seal Team Six, when a terrorist suspect they captured, complained they had punched him during the take down and bloodied his nose. His administration further commented how brutal they were.

The left were calling them Nazi's and Baby Killers. Now all of a sudden the very brave men they vilified are now heroes when they make his administration look good in the eyes of the public. Obama just happened to be the one in office when the CIA finally found the bastard and our sailors took him out. This is NOT an Obama victory, but an AMERICAN victory!!”

End of e-mail message sent to me by a friend.

Ah, yes – the truth; and what is the truth? Does anyone really know anymore?

"Perception…. Is all there is.... Manage it! There is no reality!" Tom Peters

I, for one, throw Tom Peter’s hat in the ring for President of the United States of America for telling the truth.

What’s in a Name?

Have you ever Googled your own name just for fun? I know it’s kind of egotistical and silly, but fun nevertheless. I tried it and was astounded at what I found. Everything that I have attempted in my short writing career is there in black and white. My books, blogs, correspondence, Twitter, Facebook…twenty pages of everything about Mitt Winstead! How in the world did this happen? I didn’t plan it and I certainly didn’t expect it.

You can’t even Google Mitt Romney without finding my name there also. In fact, poor Mitt R. comes in a pale second to this Mitt. Maybe I should run for president…it’s about time we get someone poor in the White House. I’ve got it; I’ll run on the Poor Platform as an Independent! Who better to represent the poor middle class than a poor, unknown, middle class author? I have the integrity, energy and intelligence, so why not run? Oh, wait a minute – I don’t have the money, good looks, or charm. Crap, I don’t have the attributes that get people elected to public office. Too bad, I would have made a good president. Just as well, my dad always told me that people who work for the government are just the losers who couldn't make it in the private sector. It appears that may be so.

I am actually quite proud of what I found on Google. All my long hours of writing and promoting have not been in vain. Now if I could just get the world news broadcasters to do a piece on “Google Mitt Winstead.” I could become a celeb overnight and make millions. What a minute; I could do an ugly hair comb over, go to charm school and become a running mate for “The Donald.” Vice-President is good enough for me. A man has to know his limitations!

Why I Like The Donald

I like The Donald because he has the chutzpa to wear the most hideous hair style. His posture is; if you don’t like it – don’t look!

I like The Donald because no matter what his hair looks like, he always dresses sharp, but not too conventional.

I like The Donald because he manages to always come out smelling like a rose. How many times have the newspapers reported him going broke and it was not so?

I like The Donald’s taste in women. If you don’t like them, too bad – you just have to look anyway!

I like The Donald because he can take what he dishes out. Just ask his ex-wives.

I like The Donald because he says what he means and means what he says, I think. I know the rest of the candidates don’t do either.

I like The Donald because he knows how to build things right. Shoddy workmanship is not tolerated.

I like The Donald because if you screw up big time, you get fired big time.

Mostly, I like The Donald because he is real. Not even Washington D.C. would faze him. After all, he has been through it all and still manages to shake up his world on a daily basis. We need his kind of business sense in Washington. It’s time to get a real person back in the White House.

    I’m just saying,
