It Takes a Village Idiot

I finally get it…our government wants us to run the country one village at a time. In other words, government will not, cannot, nor should it be expected to, work for the money we (the villagers) pay it to run the country.

When I say government, I mean federal, state, municipal and right down to Po Dunk, Idaho, with a population of thirteen. Pa always said, “Government workers are people who cannot make it in the private sector.” In other words, they all want government to take care of them with health care, vacation days, sick days, mental health days, and days off that I have never even heard of. What better way to get spoiled than to be part of the system that gets the best of everything the private sector can provide them? After all, who do you think pays for government? We The People, that’s who!

Personally, I am damn tired of carrying the burden for lazy, spoiled, self-serving, fat cat government workers. But, wait – the government has paid protection. Who do you think is paying for that protection? You guessed it…the villagers. The protection is called the Internal Revenue Service. Sure, I am sick and tired of paying taxes so the government can squander my money on pork barrel projects and perks up the kazoo, but try not paying your taxes and you get to visit a not-so-exotic federal penitentiary. What a setup - form a government that has its own protection against anyone who tries to stamp out all the corruption. By golly, it sounds like the Mafia to me. Do I need to say who the God Father is?

OK, so I have vented a little. Now, how do we fix it? There is only one way and it’s not a rope. We must fix it at the voting polls. You see, the Founding Fathers of our country anticipated the corruption because they knew the dangers of big government. After all, they fought and beat the largest government in the world at that time, which was England. That is why they (our forefathers) created the Constitution of the United States of America and The Bill of Rights. They also created the Supreme Court to keep big government from trying to change the Constitution.

We still have the right to vote out all incumbents who have made careers out of government work which was intended to be service to our country for a limited time and then back to work in the private sector. The problem is the lazy bastards and bastardettes have dug in like an Alabama tick into the blood of every hard-working American and digging them out is like moving Hawaii with a rope. The only way to get rid of them is to vote the fat cats out of office. After that happens, you also fire the entourage of lazy groupies they have hired to insulate them from the public eye.

Big government depends on two things to survive. It depends on apathy and the ostrich syndrome (sticking our heads in the sand)




from the voting populace. Apathy is the worst. How can we get rid of incumbents if we don’t vote in the first place? Come on people, let’s put November, 2012, on the calendar right now and vote for an Independent party. If we all vote for Independent candidates, the Republicans and the Democrats shrivel up and die a slow agonizing death as they are packing up and leaving OUR government. Good riddance to bad rubbish!

There is still one more obstacle to overcome. The oldest segment of our society thinks voting Independent is un-American. These folks think you must vote Republican or Democrat. We need to help our most senior voters understand that the status quo is part of the problem. We need new ideas and hope in the system. We won’t get either staying with the same old, same old.

Been there, done that!

Think you know all about Been there, done that? Click the title of this blog and learn. My point? My point is that we all think we have been there, and done that, but the truth is we haven't been or done much of anything in our middle-class pathetic lives. Why? Because the five percent of the people who own America won't let us, that's why!

Stop and think about it...remember the hippies who rebelled about everything happening in our country in the late sixties and seventies? They were getting high, naked, having fun and protesting up a storm. The owners of the U.S.A. freaked. Why? Because they were not in control of a large segment of our young society who were supposed to work, pay taxes, go to war and serve the wealthy few, that's why.

This time the threats of hell and damnation did not control the young people who finally realized that organized religion was designed to control and a devil living inside the middle of the earth was pure bull poop. The devil was found to be living in the Congress of our country and instead of serving us, we ended up serving a pack of devils who voted themselves raises, immunity, separate health care, perks and heaven only knows what else without asking We the People.

Where was I when all this was going on? Right along side you, working my butt off trying to earn a living while supporting illegal aliens with a list of benefits that would choke a horse. I was right along side of you working my butt off to pay for corruption and graft in our government and private corporations. I was right along side of you working my butt off supporting pork barrel programs that went through Congress like a dose of salt and We the People never even had a chance to vote on the programs in the first place!

America, we have been had and I have had enough. November 2, 2010, is the day of reckoning. Let all political incumbents beware. The hammer is going to fall. It's time to clean up the mess and clean out those who caused it, and those who condoned it by not speaking up. We the People will now speak a language you can understand. The language is English and the message is that we are going to take back our country!

Complacency Sucks

As November draws near, I find myself sick of unsolicited political phone calls and e-mails, even from candidates I intend to vote for. Please let the back stabbing cease, enough is enough! It is no wonder thousands of people don't bother to vote. They can't see the good candidates from the bad.

One thing is for sure though; not voting is wrong. We have a civic duty to vote using our best judgment and commonsense. Complacency sucks and our enemies from within and without depend on us not voting so they can keep their evil agendas going.

I for one am not willing to give up anything without a fight. Our country is worth fighting for, and in a world that operates on the principle that only the fittest survive, we all should be ready and willing to do what is necessary for our personal and democratic principled survival.

I cannot get the picture out of my mind of the worst elements of the Mexican people holding up flagpoles with their country's flag on top and our flag upside down on the bottom during a demonstration in the U. S. A.! Others in the demonstration were giving the American people obscene jesters and hateful looks, while police and bystanders looked on complacently. It reminded me of pictures I had seen of early German Nazis parading in downtown Berlin before Hitler came into power. His power was first made possible by German complacency. Remember, Hitler was not even German!

It doesn't matter if you are from the left or right politically. Today's U.S.A. is vastly different from the way we were fifty years ago. Had any other countries' citizenry stepped on our land and desecrated our flag in that manner, it would have been all over for them but the crying.

I am sickened by this behavior from people who expect a good life handed to them on a silver platter. I have worked my butt off for the things I am now losing because of the drain. But, worse yet, I am more sickened by the complacency of our own citizenry who won't stand up, get to the polls and vote for a chance for change, no matter how slight that chance may be.

Although violence has been the catalyst for change in our country's history, I personally don't advocate violence unless my life or family's life is threatened. Even though we do have the right to protect ourselves in this country, I believe the answer lies at the polls. You will find me there voting in the November election and I hope to see you there as well.
